Interactive Web Pages using PHP

IT Training > Web Page Development

PHP is a computer scripting language originally designed for producing dynamic web pages.  The name PHP is a recursive acronym for PHP: HypertextPreprocessor.   Like ASP it is used mainly in server-side scripting allowing functionality and data manipulation.

PHP was developed to run on non-Windows® server platforms although, as with ASP, the latest Microsoft Server software can execute some PHP script instructions.

PHP script is also coded alongside HTML, however, it is often used to actually write the HTML dynamically as the web site is viewed.

The outcome for this course would see the learner creating a multi-page, interactive web site which would access data from the online database and create dynamic pages which would reflect changes in the stored data.  There is a facility to view these web pages on a PC just as though they were being downloaded from a server on the Internet.
